Break Through the
Intermediate Plateau.
Studying hard, but your speaking isn't getting any better? Stop trying to learn everything at once and become micro-fluent in one topic at a time.
Break Through

Discover What Actually Works.
I'm Mischa Wilmers, founder of I'm Learning Mandarin.
I started learning Mandarin in 2017 while working a full-time job in the UK. I got through the beginner stage, then hit a wall. Evening classes, apps, textbooks: I kept studying, but my speaking stopped improving.
The problem? I was trying to learn everything at once. So I stopped, and started setting microfluency goals instead: one topic at a time, practised until I could talk about it freely. That's how I broke through the intermediate plateau without leaving the UK.
Today, I help thousands of professionals across 5 continents set microfluency goals that fit their busy schedules and transform from Mandarin mediocrity to chatting freely with their Chinese friends and families.
The More You Study, The More You're Stuck
Around HSK 3 or 4, linear courses stop working. That's because beyond the beginner stage, everyone needs different Mandarin. A doctor needs to learn words like 肺 (fèi, lungs). An accountant needs to learn 股市 (gǔshì, stock market). If you try and learn everything at the same time without any focus, your speaking stalls.

The answer is Microfluency
Microfluency means being fluent on one topic at a time. Instead of spreading yourself across the whole dictionary, you master the conversations you actually have: your job, your family, your plans.
Every topic you master is progress you can actually hear. Then you pick the next.
